W&L Recognized for "Contribution to the Public Good"

W&L ranked #4 LAC by Washington Monthly

We rank liberal arts colleges—four-year institutions that award almost exclusively bachelor’s degrees and that focus on arts and sciences rather than professional programs—based on their contribution to the public good in three broad categories: social mobility, research, and promoting public service. (note: I added the bold.)

My D is passionate about public service and is minoring in Poverty Studies (with a concentration in Social Determinants of Health). We have been beyond impressed at the emphasis W&L places on service and the resources directed to support those efforts.
