W&M's Mason school of business

I know that the name for the business school just changed, but my question is.. since only sophomores can apply for admission for their next two years, what are the acceptance rate for MSB. Second, how is mason school of business recognized in virginia (at the tour, the tour guide who was an art major said that mason business is ranked top 15 in the nation, which i checked and it was no where close). What companies recruit from that school and if I am thinking about grad school, how likely am i to get into a good grad MBA program?

answers are very important in my decisions to attend the school!!! THANK YOU!!!

WM is one of the better schools to be at for MBA, I know that TUCK at Dartmouth and Wharton for example are particuarly fond of WM graduates...if you're looking to major in accounting, WM is one of the top 15/20 in the nation for accounting programs..which is probably where your tour guide interpreted that from

MBA programs look more at work experience than where you went to college, since few MBA programs admit applicants straight from college.

how about its finance?

Btw, how come it's like ranked 50th in the nation if it's accounting and stuff are that good, hmm mind boggling

btw, where did you find the information about the rankings of the individual branches of business? ive been looking for them for quite a while...if you have the finance ranking please share~, i would like to see the rankings for accounting too!

Thx

(looking for ways to show my parents that W&M is not a bad business school)

Look in the Fiske Guide for Colleges, that's where the accounting stat is from.

J.wang, are u going to w&m next year?

most likely, ive been waitlisted by both boston college and nyu, and it seems like i have very little chance of getting into either one of them, and w&m is the next school that i want to go to

im actually making a deposit tmw

cavalier302 makes a very good point.

that said, W&M will do a good job getting you ready for an MBA program.

thanks for the response, I've made my decision! cya in the fall.. WOOHOO!!!
