So I logged into Albert today and noticed something a little weird. Under application status, for the Program and Description sections, it writes Liberal Studies and Core Program respectively. Now, I printed out this exact page months ago to show to my college counselor -- NYU hadn't received my transcripts for some reason and I wanted to have proof that I wasn't being totally neurotic about it. Anyway, on this paper from a few months prior it instead writes College of Arts and Sciences and English and American Literature.
Wait. Hold up.
...Did I miss something? Did I get LSP'd? And if I did, why haven't I gotten a notification decision? Everyone else got their LSP notifications like last week, no? Is this NYU's subtle way of telling me I've been considered for LSP, and consequently, rejected?

This happened to me too. I wish I really knew what it meant, but I’m pretty positive it means we didn’t get into our first choice, but they might still want us. We should find out this week, at least.

Oh man, that is a major blow to my self-esteem. And given that NYU does financial aid on a desirability basis…
I don’t mean to sound melodramatic, but my heart’s just been shattered a little bit.

No, I understand completely. I’ve had all week to let it sink in. The only good way to look at it, at least for me is I probably wouldn’t have been able to afford it anyway.

so does this mean that if I applied for CAS but said in my application that they could send me to LSP if CAS rejected me, and my CAS thing didn’t change yet… does that mean i’m in? or more likely to get in?

Nevermind.

I got the same thing. I have a feeling it means I was rejected. HOPEFULLY NOT.
