Also...on another note of optimism for international students...there is another scholarship out there (for half-tuition) that does not require an interview...perhaps some of you are being considered for that...and that is why you did not get an explore USC invite...???

okai wait. if they say to watch for the brochure "experience USC" does that mean the everybody is going to get it? cuz itz been a week since my acceptance letter came and i havn't gotten it yet. and also.. does everybody who get experience USC get some kind of scholarship?

Explore USC offers scholarship and non scholarship programs. The scholarship programs are overnight, so that is how you will know if you are being considered for a scholarship or not. The regular programs are just a day long. I don't know how many people they invite to the non-scholarship programs.

I understand your frustration sarah and everyone else and I too have heard that USC weighs heavily on SAT's. However, what really is an SAT? Take someone who has a 1550 and good grades, but is lacking in the essays or the EC's. Now put that person up against someone with a 1420 with a lot of community service, athletics, and EC's. Chances are if a college had to choose, many of them would go with the lower SAT score because that person is well rounded. Saying an SAT is everything is saying that one or two Saturday's in your high school career determine everything. It is understandable that if you have a pool of people with 1400+ SAT scores that you will begin to rely more and more on supplemental information. This is especially true when a college is evaluating potential leadership. While someone with a high SAT score may accel, they may not contribute much to campus beyond good grades. In the end, admissions are very arbitrary. I am the valedictorian of my school and I was rejected from every governor's school and academic program I applied to my junior year. I hope everything works out.

haha sorry....... accel= excel, thank you physics homework

did u happen to apply for the gov school for sciences?

I applied to International Studies and the Business one and I got rejected ( not waitlisted) from both
