Wait list happy ending

For Waitlist People
Hi everyone! I am a freshman. I applied in 8th grade to boarding school and got waitlisted at Lawrenceville, Choate, and Exeter. I was rejected by Andover, Deerfield, and Hotchkiss. This year I applied to Andover, Exeter, Choate, and Lawerncevile. I was waitlisted at Lawernceville, rejected by Andover, and accepted into Exeter and Choate. I just want all of you to keep your hopes up. Be proud that you were waitlisted because that is extremely hard to do. I was so upset last year when I was accepted to none, but it turned out to be for the better. I waited hoping to get a letter to get off the waitlist and I didn't. So I tried again. I went through the application process again and it really payed off. I just want you to all keep trying. Boarding schools like to see you keep trying and try new things if you are thinking about applying next year. I want to congratulate the accepted people for making the cuts, the waitlisted people for being wanted (they want to take you, there is just no room this year), and the rejected people for trying. I hop my story helps someone feel a little better because I came on here and read success stories and that really lifted my spirits. I wish the best for all of you.

That’s great! Where will you be going?
I applied to many schools(including some of the ones you did) this year and got waitlisted and rejected to all of them. But I wrote letters telling my first choice that I really wanted to go. And… just a few days ago, they told me they would accept me! Getting waitlisted does not mean that you should give up. I hope similar things happen to those of you who got waitlisted.

@sophapplicant Awesome!!! Which school? (If you feel comfortable saying!)
