For those who auditioned for BFA MT and did not receive call, how are wait list and/or rejections handled? Mail? Also, are these students automatically considered for the BA in Acting if they’ve already been academically accepted to the university?

I’m still waiting for mail but from posts from previous years, you had to audition for BFA Acting to be considered for the BA acting concentration.

I knew that; but wondered if those rejected from BFA MT had any BA option open to them? Guess time will tell. S hasn’t been officially “rejected” from BFA MT, but presumes so, since we heard all calls have been made weeks ago.

Yeah I’m in the same position. Waiting & hoping for a BFA or BA acting acceptance or at least a waitlist spot. Anything but a plain rejection…

Rejection letter for BFA MT finally arrived in CA yesterday. No offer of placement in alternate BA program. But didn’t request consideration for both BFA MT and BFA Acting, so perhaps that affected options. Not a surprise. Moving on.

May I ask when his letter was dated? Still nothing for me in AZ…

Letter dated 3/19, envelope postmarked 3/20, received 3/23

Okay thanks

I believe if students were accepted into the BA program, they also received calls. The BA program also has a cap on it (I believe only 50 students) so while it isn’t as competitive as the BFA programs, it is still competitive and selective.
