<p>RPI sent email on May 2 to my son who had been admitted but chose not to enroll, stating that they were extending their enrollment deadline (for him, but I assume he's not the only one) to May 8. This suggests that they did not get the yield they were expecting or hoping for, so I would imagine the waitlist may also see more action after May 8 if they don't get the response they are hoping for from that email.</p>

<p>yes, son was admitted off of wait list on Saturday but no FA award mentioned. I assume that means they expect full pay in which case this is a non-starter for us. I did not see the letter so maybe there’s a link to FA or you have to call them but if that’s their game there will be plenty of slots to fill.</p>
<p>I’d certainly ask if financial aid will be awarded separately or something before assuming he won’t get any. But their finaid wasn’t the greatest even for students admitted in the first round, one of the reasons RPI didn’t make it to the final round of choices for my S.</p>
<p>Just to follow up, they did send us a decent financial aid package upon request after being offered a spot coming off of the waiting list. </p>
