what about the transfer waitlist? I still haven’t received anything. Do you know when your letter was dated, plantmom?

The letter (truly a nice letter) was dated July 10. …“believing that it is unreasonable to keep students on a waiting list beyond mid-summer and the end of July, I write now regretfully to inform you that we will not have a place for you…We still have our expected class size and cannot realistically expect further losses…”

Good luck with your transfer waitlist canadianemigre!

A decision is going to be made regarding the transfer student wait list soon. Does anyone how many students are on this particular wait list. Good luck to everyone on the wait list?

yes, I’m on the transfer waitlist as well, the admissions office emailed me back on Monday…no idea how many of us there are.

but I’m baffled why they’d accept anyone this late, it’s like two weeks until intl orientation today…I mean it would be amazing, but major emotional adjustment to make so quickly

I had figured my “it’s over” letter had gotten lost in the mail…

Canadianemigre,

So far only two of us on the transfer student wait list. Be confident and remain optimistic good things come to those who wait. If we deserve the honor of being admitted into such an excellent school we will both be admitted. Therefore it is not over by any means, good luck I hope to see you at Carleton in two weeks.

RB

Any updates

no…what the heck do you think is going on?!

Carleton is going to wait and see how many students actually show up and stay at the school. Therefore, for example if students attend Carleton and leave during the first week of school or first day even Carleton will take students off of the transfer student waiting list. I figured it out last week, the best thing to do is just chill and wait. Last year Carleton took sixteen students off of the transfer student wait list.

as in we start a couple of weeks late without any orientation?! or that we’d start at the beginning of the next trimester?

never mind, got a letter that they’re not taking anyone
