Wait List

eehhhhhhh, can't wait ! who will be those 30 lucky applicants?

someone commented on matt's blog that he or she got in.. true? I just got an email 30 mintues ago saying that the MIT admissions does not know when they will release it..

Hi saturnVroketo,

How did you get such an email from MIT admissions directly?

I am just curious. I am on the wait list, too.

why don't I receive an e-mail about their releasing decisions today?

Announcement on Admission Blog: MIT Admissions | Blog Entry: "Waitlist Update"

Rejected, anyone lucky enough to get in?

ARGHHHHHH! They kept me on the waitlist!!!! MORE WAITING@@@@

I got rejected. Oh well.

rejected..owell at least there is no more waiting

I just got axed

too sad for us internationals!!! well, now, i guess i have to stick more with my Cornell! still happy, though

Anyone from the 64 find out yet?

^^^
nope...nothing...

Still nothing here.

Hmn. Better yet, did any of the 64 waitlisted contact MIT and ask them what took that extra week? I think that's a good sign, perhaps.

I didn't, but I think there are pretty good odds for people still on the wait list, with as far off as all the other colleges were at predicting matriculation. I'm hoping that 64 (or more) spots open up.

wouldn't it be like 36 spots to open up at most? b/c they already took 36 off from the waitlist....

Could be more than 36 because some who already committed to MIT RD might get admitted elsewhere off of a waitlist and decide to go there, opening up another spot at MIT.

I was just saying that I hope everyone left on the wait list gets in...

Eh. I called MIT and they said that the Waitlist Committee is still deliberating. As usual, she could not tell me any other details such as an approximate date for decision making, so expect some luck, but not immediately, I guess.
