Wait-listed for CARE but I also applied for Fall

"We have reviewed your application to the Center for Academic Retention and Enhancement (CARE) Summer Bridge Program and have decided to delay making a decision until you provide us with the following information:

Mid-year senior grades - Have your grades sent to Florida State as soon as they become available but no later than February 19.
New ACT or SAT results - Retake either test prior to March of your senior year and request that the scores be sent to Florida State."

This sucks major balls but I also applied for Fall. Does this mean it's my only chance of getting in? I really just don't understand why I wasn't accepted. I had all of the qualifications and I had decent grades. I can't even feel anything right now.

I’d also like to add that my friend who has NEVER gotten a D and is definitely more secure for acceptance into Fall got deferred to Summer. I mean she’s accepted but, I don’t understand why she wouldn’t get into fall?

Nikki908- I can’t tell you about the wait listing for CARE. They take less than 400 students a year into that program and there is usually a disclaimer on the CARE part of FSUs website that they may even close enrollment early due to the overwhelming number of applicants. Call the CARE office, not regular admissions, this week and speak to one of the regular staff members there. An actual employee, not a student working in the office. They will help you if they can.
