Wait listed for Swanson School of Engineering

I received a letter saying that I could be wait listed for the Swanson School of Engineering or accept an offer to the Kenneth P. Dietrich School of Arts and Sciences. I was wondering in anyone else received this letter. Also which option is better?

Unlike most people I am actually happy to be on the wait list. My grades and test scores are not very good, so I though I would be receiving a rejection letter. Also I already have other acceptances from RIT, Michigan State, Purdue, and other schools that I have never heard of.

There are several threads about this.

If you start at Arts and Sciences you can apply to transfer to Swanson later provided you take the same classes as first year engineering students and have the required GPA.

But you might think about some other majors or careers that might be a better fit for you.

Do these classes look like something you would enjoy and do well in?

@mommdc They do all look like classes I that will interest me. I have always liked math and science. I am one of three girls in my school taking AP Physics E/M.

I already decided to stay on the wait list. Fingers crossed that I will get in.

Yes, you could wait and see what happens, any chance that you could send in updated grades or test scores? Are you doing well in AP physics?

Did you also send in the optional essay short answer questions?

I am not doing well in physics. I already set my mis-year grades. I am not sure about the essays.
