Accepted for African American Studies!!!
Has anyone been accepted by the college of agriculture and environmental studies? T-T so nervous. Haven’t heard back. 
I got in for Design, I looked at the portal at like 12:00, but was not notified by email until 6.
I’m looking for a roommate, but I always feel like people hate me so I’ve had a bit of a hard time. I’m extremely happy that I got in, as this has been such a hard time for me.

Looks like this year was much more generous than the last. is freaking out
Does anyone know if we’ll get an acceptance packet in the mail or not?
@lollicupcatxx I heard you do but that’s only if you SIR’d.
@12345ca Do you mean they released all acceptances for certain departments already?
I don’t. know. They told me that they don’t want to divulge their waitlist practices. Sigh. They told me that they have a “complicated process.” But I think the truth is closer to what the other UCs do…send out the first round of waitlist acceptances and see who does a SIR and then send out another round to second tier choices, depending on availability. Also, there’s the UC Davis students who are now getting into UCLA, Berkeley, and UCSD, who will cancel their SIR to Davis, and that should open up spots at Davis. So, fingers crossed. If they follow what they’ve done in the past, we should hear about the second wave in about 8 days, if not, it could be anytime. They like to keep it all very secretive.
I have a quick question, kind of sad too. What happens if I can’t find roommates before the deadline? Do they automatically assigned me with random people?

@darnwaitlist any news yet ? I talked to the admissions department and they said we could be notified any day now but no later than June 1st.
@meliissaaa nothing - did they say if they had any spots available in the college of agri and evn - in any divisions? I haven’t called them at all. If they have spots, you would imagine they would have released it by now since most SIR’s are processed already for this college - right?
@darnwaitlist when I asked about if there were any spots she said she didn’t have any stats on that but the responses don’t come out on any particular day just not on the weekends. The lady also said that they don’t send out rejections till the end… I don’t want to sound like a Debbie Downer because this is my dream school and perhaps yours as well but the college that me and you are trying to get into is what UC Davis is known worldwide for. UCD has the most distinguished animal science department which makes it significantly harder for applicants of there environmental and agricultural college to get accepted versus an applicant of another college UCD offers. I do still have hope for us though because if we were waitlisted that means that UCD has seen something in our application that they are interested in keeping which may give us an advantage, we just have to try our best to stay hopeful and positive.
@darnwaitlist have you heard of any one getting in off of the waitlist for the environmental and agricultural college? I was just curious because I haven’t heard of anyone getting admitted for that particular college. The wait has got to be the worst part… Did you SIR to another school just in case ?
