Wait listed - what to do from here

I got wait-listed at Wellesley which was a little disappointing, and although I got into Northwestern University which I will probably send in my deposit to, I want to do a final push just in case I hate it when I visit. I think a factor in the wait-list was my supposed lack of interest because i didn't interview, etc.

I was thinking of sending in a letter along with some other materials. Is there a certain person I send my materials to? Who exactly is the regional person that I need to contact (alumni)? How do I find that information? (I live in Oregon) Will that help my chances of getting off the waitlist?

Thanks for any help :) I am pretty confused about what I'm supposed to do.

You should send your information to the admissions office (Office of Admissions, 106 Central Street, Wellesley, MA 02481).

You can call the admissions office to find out the contact information for your regional application person.

Sending in more materials about yourself can’t really hurt. I wouldn’t send an encyclopedia, but some key updates (awards, updated scores, other cool things that weren’t available at the time of application deadlines) could be helpful.

Good luck!

Thanks sooo much for your help  I really loved Wellesley when i went to visit - the Boston area was beautiful, the people were so diverse, the programs were so interesting.
I am trying not to get my hopes TOO up because i know that the rate of acceptance from the waitlist is very small but I am keeping my fingers and toes crossed. Thanks again!

Good luck to you, misty! (: I was also wait-listed and I’m sending some stuff to the admissions office today!
So best of luck to the both of us, I guess!
