Here's my dilemma.
I was deferred from my ED choice. I was told that this school defers a few amount of people.
I have another school that I like almost as much as my ED school. The admission's officer at this school said that I have a very good chance of getting into the school if I apply to it ED II.

My question is: Should I wait out the deferral to the school I really want to go to and risk my chances of getting into the other school, or should I give up on the deferral and apply ED II to the school I like a little bit less than my top choice.

its obviously up to you. Would you be willing to attend your second choice school over your first choice school? or do you like your first choice so much that you want to wait it out...

I would like to wait it out. But my parents are scared that I'll end up just being denied, plus my 2nd choice school will reject me if I apply RD there.

It would help to know the school, but at most schools very few deferred end up getting in. This is especially the case with highly selective schools.

You can ask your counselor to call your ED school and feel out how much of a chance you might have.

In most cases, applying to the ED2 school would be the best strategy IMO.
