Waiting before UChicago Tour/Visit

Has anyone toured UChicago and remember them providing coffee and either tea or hot chocolate to those who are waiting for their tour? I know this is “insignificant” but I thought it was different from all the other college tours that I have. (Specifically, if anyone can remember if they had either tea or hot chocolate that would be great, it might be something that I mention in an essay, but I wouldn’t want to write the wrong one). Thanks.

I did the tour with my DD during summer when it was close to 90 degree outside. No hot beverage served and I doubt if anyone on my tour wanted it  .

OP, it’s probably not a good idea to mention stuff in your essay that you don’t remember clearly. Also, CC feedback can be helpful, but keep in mind that other posters might be misremembering as well. Use your own experience, impressions and understanding of the place to inform your essays. Then it comes out as genuine.

Good luck!

Brandeis offers tea/coffee/hot chocolate and freshly baked cookies - right next to a roaring fire. While there was not much else that left an impression that day, the welcoming waiting lounge, definitely did!

If you can’t remember yourself why would you bother mentioning it?
