Waiting for a decision?

hang in there, its only two days, and thank you and the best of luck to you as well

I applied to TCNJ for Early Decision, but got deferred into Regular Admissions. I’m losing just about all hope for any chance of admission, considering the third wave has been sent out.

My SAT scores are:
CR: 600
Math: 560
Writing: 620

Granted, they aren’t exactly the highest, but I have a 3.85 GPA, Honors and AP courses, all As and Bs, plenty of extra-curriculars, and a strong application essay (according to my teachers). I even sent out an extra letter and two recommendations (one teacher is a TCNJ alumni) after being deferred.

Has anyone gotten in with a SAT score lower than 1800 combined?

um. I never took my SATs…

Do you think there’s a completely different standard for transfers than for freshman admissions? Do they ever publish the “profile” of transfers they admit, the same way they parade around the freshman class’ stats? With such a high retention rate, how many openings could they have in the second or subsequent years?
I’ve heard some people get into much better schools when they transfer than they could have gotten into initially. I’m sure they have good freshman grades, but its something to think about. I wonder if going to a school is like living in a certain place, you tend to stay there because it’s what you know and have become accustomed to.
Whatever. Still no change in the “admissions” page when you hit “accept admission”. Mail has not come yet, but if they’re telling the truth about everyone being notified by April1 it has to come today. We’ll see. Good luck to everyone.

The only reason I was or am called a Transfer was because of the military other then that i have never been to college before

This morning I awoke to a large envelope containing my acceptance letter. I am thoroughly excited and I wish the best of luck to you guys as well!

Congrats sonnYDG, what is your planned major?

School of the Arts, majoring in Graphic Design.

oh perfect, hey if you would like some of us made a FB page for the Class of 2015, wanna design and moderate?

Congrats sonnerYDG!

Last year
applied:9956
accepted:4708
enrolled:1421

well ive been accepted and i plan on enrolling so thats 1oo% so far

As I got out of class here at Rutgers a few minutes ago I got a txt from my mom saying TCNJ’s letter arrived and its more than an envelope. I told her to open it and I got in! I’m so excited. Congratulations to everyone and for those waiting for the mail good luck! Has it not set in yet for anyone else? Maybe I just have to get home and see the letter myself. For any incoming freshman who weren’t admitted I hope you go to the school that you really fit in to.

Congrats bdebon, see you there…

velocities, I was admitted to TCNJ and my combined score as only a 1610. I think it really depends on your major and everything else put together. Best of luck!

Sounds good semper. This is really surprising to me and it still hasn’t sunk in

Wow yea it is slowly sinking in, that I am going to be the oldest Freshman, maybe even oldest student?

How old are you? I actually had 2 marines in the same class last semester. My friend Victor was 35! And the other just came back after serving, he was mid 20s and always had his books in his rucksack

Im 25. but when i look and see most of the people here are like 18, i feel old

if your paws hasn’t updated by now, does that mean you’ve been declined?
