@BHADES: You’re the lead of your school play? Awesome! I’m one of the leads in mine And I’m also going to try and oust the first chair in Orchestra, and practice for my dance recital…I’m ranting now, aren’t I?

Hahaha goldenratio, i love what you would do if you got in. Sounds a lot like what I would do.

@ BHADES oh I was just hoping someone was applying for the same grade as me sigh guess not

@GoldenRatio what you would do is way too similar to what I would do hahaha
I think if I was accepted I would just completely freak out and tell my whole family and my friends in the country I used to live in before moving here! I would try to put off telling my current friends as much as possible since they already hate me for applying
If I wasn’t accepted I will just go on with life normally because I go to a great public school

@confusedonades what grade are you applying for??

@AmbiD77: Haha Good point about not telling current friends, and putting that off; my friends freaked out when I told them I was applying. They still don’t really talk to me anymore (thanks a lot for the cold shoulder!)

I go to a really good public school as well; I love the ECs offered around here-especially the ones about art! But I’ve also heard great things about the art opportunities at a boarding school, so why not aim high?

@GoaldenRatio, I didn’t tell my friends I applied to boarding school, i know its secretive. But if I do get in, I will tell them may be a few days before I go.
@confusedonhades, thats to bad, but may be if we go to the same school we can do some clubs together, that would be awesome!
Anyways, if I got accepted. I would faint, then wake up and scream my butt off, then run downstairs and scream in my parents ears. Then faint again. Then go hug the fed ex guy

I think if I accepted, I would pull a Mercedes. My friend, Mercedes, likes to stoop down and then lay on the floor or get out of her seat and pretend like she’s walking out of the classroom (then sits back down) whenever something…monumentally stupid/weird/dumb happens–i.e the Wave, Hitler, Americans selling firearms to both sides at the beginning of WW1 when we were neutral. So basically I’m going to fall to the floor and scream my lungs out if I’m accepted ^.^

Haha, exactly what I mean. But anyways what grade are you guys applying for? Im an eighth grade boy applying for 9th grade

Cool; I’m an eighth grade girl applying for ninth. What schools are you applying to? Actually, let me rephrase this question: Which HADES schools are you applying to? ;-)

@GoldenRatio, Im applying to Hotchkiss, Andover, Deerfield, Exeter, and then Choate also

gasp Choate? I thought that wasn’t part of HADES laughs I’m applying to Choate, Hotchkiss, Andover, and Taft (my personal acronym is CHAT); so, maybe we’ll see each other at one of these schools!

Haha, Everyone says that to me! But since the majority of my schools are HADES, I just made my username that. But one of my regrets is not applying to Taft, its one of the first boarding schools i researched but I decided to ignore it. But what is your first choice school? You seem like the type of person who is going to get into every single one and is going to attend one of these schools this fall.

I have a lot of regrets, too; the first school I researched was actually Loomis Chaffee…but I don’t know, I just didn’t apply.

Thanks! I’m sure you’re going to get into at least one of those schools too!

But in a reality, I messed up a lot. My Hotchkiss application is in shambles! I don’t have a first choice school right now; to quote countless other CC-ers, “Love the school that loves you!”

What’s your first choice school?

I loved Andover, but of course my father loves Exeter, the Rival schools.

Andover > Exeter in my opinion. My mom loved Exeter though.

I just cant wait for all of this to be over!!!

@AmbiD77 I’m applying for 10th grade
@BHADES That would be fun to know someone before school

It’s weird how I applied to six schools last year and I was confident I would get in so I wasn’t nervous, I was waitlisted at two and rejected at the rest and was depressed for a while. So this year is twenty times as nervewracking since my parents only wanted me to apply to two schools. And now that I’ve really taken a look at the thread’s, I feel like literally crying when I think of staying in my school for the next three years.

@BHADES Agreed!!!
@confusednhades so am I! :)
