How do you know what kind of scholarship you got? I got 37k (i’m an international student) but it didn’t say that I got any specific named scholarship. Did I just get an international scholarship, then? xD

Drelnis, I think it depends on whether you got a merit based scholarship or a need based scholarship. I think the Merit scholarships usually have names. I did not get my need-based aid yet. I had a separate envelope in my acceptance that included a letter about merit aid.

Does anyone know if the letters are priority mail?

i ahven’t got an e-mail yet should i e-mail the school? all the people who applied from my school already found out

@Elizabeth, thanks for answering questions and keeping the whole process relatively transparent!

Congrats to all those accepted and good luck to the many still waiting.

Jesse Hernandez posted on the Oberlin blogs this afternoon with photos of the letters being sent off on Monday afternoon.

Good luck to everyone!

I’ve already posted this 2 other places on the Internet, but I am getting increasingly impatient. I was able to log into PRESTO! today. Does that necessarily mean I was accepted to the college? It says it can only be accessed by admitted students, but I feel like there is always the chance that was a misprint.

Anyone know anything?

No, Samushighwind, as a parent I’ve logged into the Presto account for my son many times during this application season (to check on FA status) and I have noticed that there are all sorts of options that are active and available.

I suppose that you might have observed some features go active. Or maybe there’s a financial aid award amount displayed for the 2011-12 academic year. What you can currently see inside some of those features could indicate good news, but simply logging in and accessing the account is nothing more than what all prospective (or, at least all prospective students seeking FA) have been able to do since they applied.

Where do you get the Presto log-in T number? There is nothing on my D’s correspondence from the school.

I don’t think everyone got a Presto log-in number, flute1298.

Is there a place to log in for Oberlin financial aid and admission information? I have an Oberlin ID number mailed with some earlier materials - but I don’t ever remember seeing a site to log into for info, as I have at other schools…

as5thouj45,

If you want that pseudo-code to work, you need to get rid of the spaces after the opening [

The PRESTO login launch page is:

[Oberlin College: PRESTO](http://presto.cc.oberlin.edu/)

The id number is on the bottom left of the acceptance letter. Your initial pin is MMDDDYY and then it asks you to make a new pin. There was no financial aid info on Presto a moment go.

I just got the mail and called my son at school. He asked me to open it. Yeah Oberlin! $25,000/year merit scholarship! :-)

Waitlisted…to my top choice…

:(

Rejected.

Four rejections last Saturday, and today’s rejection to round it all off. I feel rather dejected from all of these rejections, ha ha.

Nothing in the mail today. I’m in the boston area. Did anyone else in this area receive their decision???

How did you log into Presto without a user ID? Where would you get that if not on your decision letter??

Accepted! Just got an E-mail.
and
suitcases : I live in Ghana with my family :)

We live in Boston and D has not received a decision yet. Our mail typically comes in the afternoon. I am currently traveling and D won’t be home from school until after 6:00pm today so I won’t know anything until after 7:30pm.
