Waiting on Admissions EA

Has anyone else who applied EA not received their letters? im getting worried

My son applied EA and has heard nothing thus far. I believe Fordham stated all decisions for EA will be released by the end of December.

Oh ok thanks!! what major is your s

Chemistry and your child?

As has been stated on several other threads on this board, Fordham will release all the decisions on December 15 (some were released earlier), by regular mail.

Just got it today :)

Political Science

does anyone know if scholarship information comes in the acceptance letter? if not, when would those notifications be mailed?

I just got an early action acceptance letter, and it does not contain information about scholarships or aid offered, but rather, encourages admitted students to call a phone number listed there for assistance in filling out the FAFSA.

scholarships are sometimes offered at time of notification of admission, sometimes later…as in late winter. Generally scholarships require a combined SAT of 1400/1600. There are some specific restricted funds available for some scholarships, not generally available to kids who dont fit that profile (e.g. some ethnic and some catholic school related).

Every applicant to Fordham is considered for scholarships. No specific scholarship application is necessary.

It is generally advisable to fill out a FAFSA, whether you need financial aid or not, as all scholarships require a FAFSA completion, which is largely for statistical analysis. In any event the FAFSA makes you eligible for university grants and loans as well.

Scholarships cover partial tuition or full tuition. They don’t cover room/board (cf. athletic scholarships).
