Waiting, waiting, waiting!

Good stuff Skewl! Congrats!

Congrats, Miami! Great city. Nothing like warm weather. My son’s friend just got accepted to the vocal program and it is his first choice! Nice choices! Choice…I really like that word!

I think Miami is everyone’s first choice!!! How could it not be. But the next stage is whether we can afford it!!!

It’s great to start seeing the good news on this thread - I swear I’ve been eating Tums like candy this past week :)

Congratulations to all who have gotten the ‘yes’!

Well it’s the 15th…we are getting very close to being done with this process. More schools should be posting decisions by early next week if not today or over the weekend! Then on to choices (if one is lucky enough to have them!)

I thought my daughter’s UNCSA acceptance would calm her down from jumping out of her chair every time the phone rings for the next few days in the event of a CMU call but the anxiety seems to have built back up. I think its less about the quality of the schools or the fit since both are great for quality and fit but that she really knows CMU from having spent the summer there and that familiarty makes it seem so much less a scary place.

Well the 15th has come and gone for this mailbox, no rejections (phew) no wait lists, no acceptances, no news… my D is still in the running to be the Next Top Model… wait… wrong game… ok… back to trying to ignore these threads for my sanity, best of luck everyone.

No mail here either. I don’t know if I’m relieved or disappointed. I feel like Vernon Dursley looking forward to no post on Sunday (although that didn’t work out the way he planned). We have emails instead of owls!

ActingDad, I haven’t mentioned the likelihood of CMU phone calls coming this weekend to my DS - he’s off the charts stressed as it is, and his HS musical is entering tech week on Monday (he’s the lead in 42nd Street). He did mention it this morning, so I kinda laughed and said “if you see ‘412-268-’ on your caller ID - ANSWER THE PHONE!!!”

For anyone waiting, 412-268- is the area code and CMU-prefix for campus numbers :)

Nothing in our mail, but the weather is perfect, my daughter is here for spring break and my kids are loving hanging out, so all in all, a good day…

I hear Syracuse sent out some emails. Has anyone heard anything about the acting program?

No email from Syracuse. Anyone for Drama hear anything?

Nothing for us…I think the guy who’s daughter got in (to MT) said it was a letter.

Apparently it takes a while for all of them to get through.

Nothing here. fyi this thread has made me smile a number of times over the last few weeks, and it can be quite hard to smile going through this process as a mom, so thank you bookowl and Mom2gals and all the others that are keeping these posts smile-worthy!

My daughter reports that on facebook there are some reports of kids in acting and MT having received letters so apparently Syracuse sent out letters this year rather than emails. They’ve always done these in several waves in the past.

Ugggghhhh!

I just got Emailed from UNCSA with a application to apply for their scholarships and Webster that they are sending out my letter with Awards money info for what department I don’t know either Acting or M.T. Also got acceptance to Montclair for M.T.program, so yay. On a personal note I have a callback for a 5 book audio book series and a callback for a large Equity talent agency in the L.A. area after they saw me in a production of Spring Awaking. So double yay ! This week ended up pretty good, hope next week brings more good news for everyone on CC!!!

Woot -woot, Londream! You are having a great day! Congrats on, well . . . everything!

Thanks so much Marblehead ,Oh and I just started rehearsals for my first paid show and our lead is a recent CMU grad! Ahhh!

I know people who got emails from Syracuse…
