Waiting, waiting, waiting!

Seriously! Shine a light for crying out loud!

Congrats, Mom2Gals and ActingForFilmMom! So psyched for your daughters! :)

Where else is everyone waiting for? My son has yet to hear from Muhlenberg (could arrive today), BU, Hartt, and JMU. I think his destination is settled, but it’s still a big deal to find out after all this work. Two…more…weeks…and then the torture should end, right?

We’re still waiting for Webster, U of Michigan, Carnegie Mellon, and U of Minnesota/Guthrie (on wait-list). So, it sounds like students have gotten acceptances and rejections from Michigan, but we’ve heard nothing at all.

I’m so tired of all this. Really tired.

University of Southern California, and Carnegie Mellon are the ones we are still waiting for. He’s already decided against the former even if he gets in, and he doesn’t expect to get in to --

(had to go run answer the phone, but of course it was an automated courtesy call from the pharmacy)

-- Carnegie Mellon, the quintessential Lottery School. I think my son will go to Ithaca and be delighted to do so.

We are waiting for Webster, Hartt, Roosevelt/CCPA, and The New School for Drama…no real sense of when we will hear from any of them.

We are just waiting on The New School…still wake up every day not having a clue where I am moving my son in August!!!

photomom5—At Chicago Unifieds, The New School gave us paperwork that indicated decisions would be out first week in March. Hah! We are trying to be understanding given this is their first BFA class. Plus, my daughter loves the school. So, we wait, like everyone else.

ok ok so, she got accepted academically to Pace and I’ve never seen her light up like this before. I think she is going there no matter what. She just loved being with those kids and loved the NYC location and campus and I think it will giver her flexibility to make connections to NYC agents and get some gen eds out of the way and then she can decide if she wants to go the BFA route. She’ll hear from the BFA by March 30 so the letter states. and lets say, they were very nice to her financially <3

Moms3gals - I feel like it was my own daughter, I am absolutely delighted for you guys!!!

OddDad - we had gotten an email in late February indicating they were sending out decisions the first week of March…I am thinking they did not!!!

photomom5—I’d be happy to help them with the decision-making process, but, alas, I think not!!

Hurray for mom2gals’ D! So happy that she’s happy. It’s great when everything lines up like that.

OddDad…I am laughing and my son is rolling his eyes at me!

Mom2gals my D was accepted to Pace too but not accepted into the BFA program. When I called about what the acceptance letter was all about they said “Well in case she changes her mind about her major” I said… “WHY WOULD SHE DO THAT???” She also received a very nice scholarship offer but IDK … would going to Pace give my daughter any opportunity to do anything in her major if she isn’t in the theater program??? Maybe I could convince her to go? lol

Mom2gals, congrats on Pace! I’m sending you tons and tons of pixie dust for the artistic acceptance, too!!!

Well, it FINALLY came-that elusive letter from the other Pittsburgh conservatory. I’ll tell you it was in a normal envelope but it wasn’t thin!!! She’s in to COPA at PPU!!! Stage Management concentration!!! This is the one we have waited on, not so patiently. Of course, we can’t make a final decision as the full financial package is still pending. Plus, we have to wait on Webster and DePaul. We both feel fairly certain DePaul is a no, and that’s okay because she is a little uneasy with Chicago. She and I would both be very, very happy with Webster. So, we wait a little more, but we are going to enjoy the excitement of PPU tonight!!

Huge congrats, Ugadog! I know how much you guys liked this school–enjoy your celebration! :)

Congrats on PPU, ugadog…finally!!!

Congrats again ugadog99!!!

Thrilled for you, Ugadog!!! Is PPU going to be the place then?? Oh, so glad to hear this!!

ugadog, feel the same way about this acceptance as I do about mom2gals! Absolutely thrilled and delighted!!!

Congrats everyone! So glad to hear so much good news! We are waiting on Webster and CMU…just got a yes from Pepperdine (Music and Theatre) and Chapman BA Theatre to either BFA Screen Acting or BFA Theatre which is auditioned at the end of freshman year! A good day!
