Waitlist 2011

I was just wondering what my chances of getting off the waitlist are. I accepted Blinn Team, but I hope that I won't have to use that option, however I have a feeling that might be my only offer.
CR: 530
Math: 500
Writing: 550
I know my scores are low, which probably kills my chances.
GPA: 3.9
Top 18%: 227/1230- My high school is extremely competitive!

I transferred schools my junior year, and at my other school I would have been an automatic acceptance because I was in the top 7%...sucks. :/
National Honors Society
French National Honor Society
AP and Pre-Ap classes
Lots of service hours and extracurriculars
I have played competitive soccer for 8 years
Varsity soccer
I wrote all three essays and had good recommendation letters. I applied late October.

What do y'all think? And how many usually get off of the waitlist?

All I can tell you is that three years ago my daughter applied to A&M with an 1150 Math+CR, was only offered Blinn TEAM and she was very happy to accept. She did well as a freshman, applied for transfer admission at the end of that year and got in. This year she was one of the Parent’s Weekend committee chairmen and is attending muster as I write this.

From my research that year, the number of people accepted off the waitlist varies considerably from year to year. Some years hundreds, other years maybe only a couple dozen. On the other hand, the size of Blinn TEAM just seems to keep going up every year.

I wish you the very best of luck!

Thanks so much for a reply!
