Waitlist Acceptance/Rejection Question

Hi!

I know this may be a bit early, but has anyone on the active waitlist heard back from Bard regarding an admissions decision? I received an update on my application portal a few days after I accepted my position on the waitlist that stated they would like to review the active waitlist before the end of April. However, I know that the process can continue into the summer. I just thought I would ask since I am a bit curious.

Thanks!

Best of luck to you. Things should shake out pretty fast once schools get a feel for how many are accepting the initial offers. Be sure to post your ultimate outcome. I wish you patience, hard earned good fortune, and good luck!

@Joan2021 Thank you! I followed through with all of my ideas to get off the waitlist and actually just got back from Bard… I had a wonderful meeting with my admissions counselor and attended the open house. My admissions counselor asked me a few questions about my background in science since they are still considering me for the DSS Scholarship. If I am not admitted from the waitlist, I am going to take a gap year and apply through the IDP Program in the fall. It won’t be as if I’m missing a year since I skipped a grade anyway… I think everything will turn out okay!

Yea!!! Glad to hear it. Keep us posted…

Any update??? Hope all is well!

@Joan2021 Sadly I have not heard back from Bard. I continued calling throughout the beginning of May and I was informed that they would be taking people off the waitlist throughout the duration of the month. I was almost certain that they would admit me but they did not. I am assuming that it had to do with my parent’s limited financial resources, though I could be wrong… However, I was admitted from the waitlist of a comparably ranked liberal arts college with nearly a full-tuition grant. I was honestly surprised, as I did absolutely nothing to get off their waitlist… Being that I am the first person in my family to pursue a college degree, I am extremely grateful for the opportunity to attend a wonderful college, even if that college is not Bard. I’ve learned so much from this experience and I thank you all for your support and encouragement!

The school that admitted me is Franklin & Marshall College, btw.

Good luck at Franklin & Marshall, @guitargirl8597. I know you’ll have a terrific experience, because you’re ready to grab everything out there and run with it.

Franklin and Marshall is great! I’m so glad to hear that you are all set! It’s an exciting time. Onward and upward!
