Can someone explain how a waitlist, a Letter of Continued Interest, and a financial aid package overlap? If someone who needs financial aid was waitlisted and wants to submit a LOCI, how can they do that without knowing their financial package? How can they say they will definitely attend if accepted, when they have no idea if it is affordable?
Many colleges, even the need-blind ones, are need-aware if they have to select students from their waitlists. There’s no need to mention financial aid in the LOCI letter because it isn’t going to help.
I was going to say the same thing. I would confirm it is your first choice and once you see the financial aid offer you can accept or not if you get off the waitlist.
