I have been w/listed at several of my top choice schools and have some questions regarding how to accept my spot. I'm also planning to write to the schools to show interest. Shoud i do it through snail mail or email? If i email my letter should i email to the admissions office, the dean of admissions or the person in charge of international students(i'm international)? Thanks in advance.

Also, i believe the biggest factor stopping me from being accepted is the amount of financial aid i need. Can i tell colleges that if they can't admit me b'cos they can't meet my financial need, i'm willing to apply for a bank loan or work in the summer to contribute towards college cost?

Anyone? I need help very badly... so clueless......

financial aid and the admissions are processed through two separate offices, so that money does not come into play. So, I doubt that it had to do with the aid requirements. Unfortunately, less than fifty students from the waiting list are admitted to most schools every year, so I that you should probably go for the schools that accepted you.

Write a letter of interest, I'd go snail mail, but either would help. Send it to the Admissions offfice, they'll get it to your file. Definitely mention the financial aid deal, most top schools do consider that for international students--even if they are need blind, it'll show how badly you want to attend. Good luck, I'm also trying to get off a waitlist.
