You might want to try and contact the Head of the Department, Clay James and see if he can give you any information on how many are on the wait list this year and how kids are selected off the wait list. I know currently of 2 girls who have been wait listed and you’re the first boy I’ve heard of so far. Just some words of encouragement, I know of several boys who have been completely rejected from the program, so congrats on getting wait listed!</p>

Congratz on your acceptance. Thankx for the advice i ened up calling montclair today and spoke with a guy who was in charge on the acceptances of the program from what he told me the waitlist is in fact based on type soo if someone my voice part body type and skill level doesnt accept then who eer is next on the waitlist gets the spot. In addition he also told me that people get dropped from the waitlist as more people get accepted. Also if they are really torn at the end they will refer to the dance audition and determine from that. Im am super excited to be waitlisted i feel like i have a chance ive heard great things about the program and i hope to get in. As far as the waitlist i just wish i could know my placement. Hopefully being a boy will be an advantage.

<p>Not to get your hopes up, but I do know of 2 super talented guys who were accepted to the program, and besides the Montclair acceptance, they have about 6 other acceptances as well. They are still debating on schools, but that definitely heightens your odds, so keep your head up! Again, best of luck, and definitely let me know if you get in!</p>

<p>Congrats to everyone who got exepted and waitlisted to Montclair. My s gradutates with a BFA in MT in May. It is bittersweet for me, but I am so proud of him. He loved it there. He had a lot of chances to perform because of the many theaters they have. The shows I have seen were awesome. Montclair was our little secret, but I guess it is becoming more well known now.
