Waitlist by Region

Has anyone in NYC heard back?

I really don't think waitlistees are notified by their regions, as many people have been saying. I think we're just placed together in a WL pile and selected from there, not like the ED and RD admissions process.

Also, I think everyone being accepted should have already received an email (at least for the first wave).. So if anything, kids will be notified weeks later, during the second and third (?) waves.

despite how much it pains me to say this, i also doubt that the waitlists are sent out by region as well. i agree with you that they’re sent out simply as a bunch, and then perhaps in waves. from upstate ny, i’ve received no word on what’s up with my application…

i’m pretty sure that this means i’m not going to penn this fall.

c-hica: I’m in the same boat as you (same region, no word from Penn).

I just kind of want to get rejected/accepted already so that I can completely, 100% forget about this process haha.

me too! even if i simply get rejected from the waitlist, i WANT TO KNOW ALREADY. i hate waiting! it’s like living in march again. it’s simply too cruel that colleges do this to kids who already are so fed up with the entire college application process…

any news???

c-hica, i feel your pain. happened to me with harvard last year. after may 20, i just wanted to know that i got rejected so i kept calling the admissions office everyday until the lady finally told me “Sorry”. made me wait until June.
