For all of you that have been waitlisted, is your waitlist letter stil posted on the UNC Homepage? Mine is gone and I don't know why it would be.

My D's is too---I just presume it means they are beginning the process to see whether they need to pull from their waitlist or not

ya i agree. they probably started reviewing the applications again.

my friend got a call 15 minutes ago that he got accpeted from waiting list..

Are you serious??

Yeah, my friend who was on waitlist found out that she got in a couple of days ago...

by phone or by mail?

I assumed over the internet...?

She just said "yeah I got the letter". I had assumed that she just found the decision on her UNC homepage. But then again I may be wrong...

Damn, so we can all know anytime now...

Did anyone send anything in to supplement their application, like a resume or letter?

Well one of my teacher's said that they wrote me an additional letter of recommendation, but I didn't ask them too. That's the only thing that's been sent in extra for me.

vickpick and astranger, where the people you know instate or out of state?

yeah my counselor recommended a resume, cover letter, and recommendations, but i think it may be too late. we'll see.

the person I know who got in is instate..

Would you all like me to ask her how she was notified?

yes please. I would very much appreciate it. Thank you

She told me that she found out through the mail. She got a letter.

However, when I found out that I got accepted to UNC early admission, they sent me a letter through my UNC homepage then the next day (or maybe same..day?) they sent me a letter through the mail with just more information.

I'm assuming that maybe they also notified my friend through the UNC homepage as well but she just found out first through the mail and failed to check unc's website..? Because generally they would send it both ways, I would assume.

Although I was one of the ones admitted during round 1, I will state that UNC's admissions process is always complex and tortuous; therefore don't panic because he or she got a letter and you didn't. UNC takes their time--often in large doses--in selecting and sending information. So, don't panic. Good luck to everyone. I understand how stressful and difficult this is. In fact, I was one of the last ones to receive admission: 3 days after the "official release date," and three weeks after almost everyone else received theirs. There are still plenty of spots in classes, so nothing is lost.

Hate to be a pest, but Astranger do you know many specifics about your friends statistics. Test scores and such??

two of my friends were just called today, they got in! =D

Did anyone else get a link on the homepage asking them to confirm their email address? Has anyone actia;;u received an email update of some kind?
