Waitlist Class of 2020

@umsigmadom neither of my parents went to Michigan but I had a couple of grand parents and an aunt who attended, not really legacy but I guess it could’ve helped. I had a 29 ACT and 3.7 UW GPA, tried a bunch of sports in high school and was in NHS and student council. Nothing special, was surprised with my decision.

Being an international applicant to LSA, with a requirement of financial aid, I guess I kinda expected it. Got outright rejected. :))

Guaranteed transfer.

Guaranteed transfer as well. How common is this option given?

@snapapp i guess since U mich wants to increase their class size they gave more of these out this year. A few friends got GTs as well.

Rejected. 35 ACT 800 math level 2. Shoulda studied harder.

I understand how you feel, @ethellou …It’s alright, I hope you got admitted somewhere at one of your backups at least.
I had 800 in math level 2 and physics, among the top rankers of the nation in my high school final exams, and had national level scholarships(given on the basis of exams and interviews) that are awarded to about 700 students from an applicant pool of more than 2 million… Had a lots of other stuff in both academic and extracurriculars, but it seems I am not meant to go to the US this year. (I got accepted at Penn State, but those guys don’t give financial aid to internationals) :))

It’s okay though, as I have got into some of the best colleges in my country for my intended major, and will try again for a transfer/postgrad/PhD in the US

Guaranteed transfer. 31 ACT, 3.84 HS GPA. 2 Varsity Sports ( Wrestling and Tennis) and various clubs.

@Rkarim98 do you think you’ll take it?

@hello88eric Congratulations! I got the same letter of guaranteed sophomore. After I submitted that Google link form, they sent me the same email I got back in October 2015 stating “Thanks for applying”. Have you received any further communication from them after submitting that form? I haven’t yet and I maintained everything they required in order to transfer.

You have to submit your 1st semester grades and check Wolverine Access to see what else is required

Hi @regena! So I did the same thing as you did and still haven’t heard from them! Let’s just wait and see what happens next!
