Right now, I'm waitlisted for 5 different schools: SPS, Middlesex, Groton, Hotchkiss, and Deerfield. Do I have a chance of getting into one of those boarding schools? And when do people get notified that they got out of the waitlist?

@ericnhnoh- I am keeping my fingers crossed for you. Spaces will open up on WLs when the revisit days are over and people with multiple offers accept or decline places- deadlines are April 10th - so you should expect some movement around then. Until then I will send you lots of positive energy!!! :)

ericghnoh: I got the same thing as you! Except I was accepted at Middlesex and waitlisted for Lawrenceville and Choate instead of Deerfield and Middlesex

I’m in the same position – waitlisted at Groton, SPS, Andover, and Deerfield. Does anyone know about how many people are on each waitlist?

WLed at Groton, Deerfield. SPS, Andover, Exeter and Cate.

Fingers crossed for everyone!

same situation as you guys. xD waitlisted at Deerfield, Milton, Exeter, Concord, and Hotchkiss. hopefully there will be some movement around April 10, like MDMomofTwo said. :)

of course u can always call the head of school and hope for an “admissions error” like someone else on this forum did ha ha

Whether or not people are taken of the waitlist depends on the school’s yield, or how many people who received an acceptance letter decide to attend. Sometimes, people are taken off if the yield is low; other years, no one is taken off.

I know of 2 people who are declining their Deerfield acceptances so that’s two spots for the taking :D

^it doesn’t really work like that…
