<p>39,000 apps, almost 15,000 waitlisted......really UMich?</p>

<p>Approx 4,500 accept the waitlist and 42 are pulled off....</p>

<p>Anyone wanna divide 42/15,000 for chances of being accepted off the waitlist?</p>

<p>If they waitlist 15,000, wanna guess how many they defer in EA?</p>

<p>Not hating on the school here, but seriously? You are a top institution of higher education....ya think you can act like one?</p>

<p>I believe last year was Mich’s first year using the Common App. They were probably clueless on what their admit rate would be from the Common App., so they may have waitlisted a lot more than normal in case their yield was abnormally low. Just a guess, but if I’m right one would assume the waitlist would be smaller this year.</p>
