Waitlist Offer

So r they notifying today?

she said periodically … till june 1st…

Does anyone know if they r still making calls?

Is there any way to know how many seats are left in wailtlist in particular branches…like I am interested in mech eng and thats a hot fav in GT so I am worried that all the seats might have been taken up in ME and for waitlist nothing might have been left?

They don’t look at individual colleges just overall. Trust me, I spent 10 minutes trying to convince them to admit me based on the fact that the College of Architecture needs more people.

Their logic is that people will try to game the system and apply to a specific college that only gets a few applications and then transfer to a more popular area. Makes sense but sucks for those of us who wish they looked at it :P

They should just say yes or no and finish it off…now after all this wait I would get a rejected reply from them:(

I’m holding on till the last minute. It’s been hard but as long as I have any hope I’ll be holding out for a phone call. And if I don’t get in my I’ll just transfer as soon as possible.

I just talk to my counselor… she said that they will be no more phone calls…TT… she said they will notify ppl that didnt get any by friday…

WOW, I was hoping by now, some of us would have gotten off the waitlist. For me, it’s either paying over $55k at UC Berkeley or paying minuscule amount at Tech. oh Gawd

So I guess that is that. It looks like Tech will have a smaller class with fewer Georgia students, despite what officials told the media. My son is happy where he’s going, and I hope everyone else who was waiting will also have a good outcome. If you’re meant to go to Tech, you’ll find your way back there. If not, it wasn’t meant to be. Good luck to everyone.

Well I guess, F*** you, Tech. Enjoy seeing majority of your female freshmen transfer away to UGA.

GAhuntsvillan,

You’re not alone. We’re from California. My son got into GT but not Cal. Every school is looking for people to pay out of state tutition.

Where’s that transfer application?! Just remember this isn’t the end! Thanks for all of your support. All of your comments have helped me get through this and I know countless others have signed on to see this. Just look at the view count! :D

Good luck everyone!
