I was waitlisted at my dream college but received an scholarship/financial aid award letter from them. Granted I still knew it was the school for me so I sent an appeal letter but I never got a real response from them. I tried to log into their web portal for the first time to see if it was possible to check the status of my waitlist. I selected view application and it said “Decision: Acceptance (offer)”. Does the offer part mean that I’m still on the waitlist and their also awaiting on an acceptance or does it mean I’ve been accepted? I hope it’s the latter but I really don’t want to get my hopes up again like I did the first time EA notifications came out.
Call the admissions office tomorrow and ask them. It won’t hurt your chances, and you can find out for sure. No one here can answer this. Good luck, I hope they accepted you!
I called already to ask them and the lady said that she herself doesn’t know and she couldn’t tell me anything over the phone anyway
Colleges do screw up.
Why do you think you are on the waitlist? Seems like you are admitted.
Is there any links to start accept their acceptance and put down a deposit?
Hmm. Is there an admissions rep on the website specific to your region that you could email? Can you post on the forum out here specific to that college to see if anyone else on the waitlist can tell you what their portal says? Otherwise you might just need to eesut a bit.
It is early for colleges to be pulling from their waitlists, though. Usually it starts later in April at the earliest, with a flurry of activity in May.
Which school? Perhaps an acceptance letter/email is enroute to you and you just pre-empted it by logging in early.
