<p>Hey folks, was wondering and I thought I'd ask you guys what ya think:</p>

<p>So let's say I get off the waitlist at one school, and I accept.</p>

<p>However, other schools have said that they could take until July to decide, and when July comes, they also take me off their waitlist. </p>

<p>Is that possible? Can you then accept the second school's offer w/o penalty? (Not that I want to, just wondering.)</p>

<p>On that note, do they notify you by email or mail? I heard they don't give a large time-frame in order to make a decision.</p>

<p>I want to know this too. I'm confused by the whole wait list process...</p>

<p>Let's say you got into College A, waitlisted at B and C. You accept your spot at College A and pay your deposit, and keep your spot on the waitlists for B and C. </p>

<p>Now it's May 15, and you get in off the waitlist at C. You say yes and send your deposit to College C. You inform College A, but you lose your deposit to College A.</p>

<p>Now it's June 30, and you get in off the waitlist at B. You can say yes and send your deposit in. Again, you'll lose your deposit to College C, but there's no other penalty.</p>
