I have been looking around for hard, cold statistics, but I haven't found any.

Does anyone know how many people JHU waitlisted last year? (or better yet, this year)

or perhaps how many of these people got picked off the waitlist last year? This is not for BME, btw.

sorry if this has been asked, but I have looked and been unsuccessful.

help please? :(

Based on the published tuition rates on this site, the statistics may be a year or two behind, but it does list the numbers accepted, waitlisted, etc …

not very promising though …

Check the admissions blog on the website. He wrote a blog fir waitlisted students and gives stats on there

From the website:

2009 - No offers.

2008 - Approximately 50 student were admitted from the wait list.

2007 - Approximately 80 students were admitted from the wait list.

2006 - No offers.

2005 - No offers.

2004 - Approximately 150 students were admitted from the wait list.

2003 - Approximately 100 offers.

2002 - No offers.

2001 - Approximately 50 offers.

2000 - No offers.

Doesn’t look promising … does it …

Better try to forget the school. Think about other schools that you’ve got into. Meanwhile pray for the miracle to happen.

approx 2,000 students are waitlisted and 1,000 chose to remain on the waitlist. i found this statistic in a college guide magazine

I think that this year they may need to admit people from the waitlist because of the low initial admission rate.
