I have been wait listed at Georgia and it is still my #1 school. I have friends that have gone to UGA that say sending an email/going to the admissions office to show interest is the best way to receive a spot off the wait list. I have also been told that it does not help and could possibly have a negative impact on the viewing of my application. Can someone give me advice on what I should do. It is the only school I want to go to and I want to show interest.
I’d say it’s not good to email them because they said on the waitlist FAQ they don’t want any emails, phone calls, etc. Good Luck!
who told you that it was a bad idea to not send emails?
The FAQ page and my College counselor asked me not to email or call while they were making decisions but I went with my gut and emailed a UGA VP and I was accepted today! GO DAWGS.
Thanks for your reply @lkn2015
