Who accepted the waitlist offer?
Post stats and majors please!

I did, Civil Eng,
but after attending Discover UCI yesterday, I’d like to say, I love UCI, please help me to make decision

Attend UCD’s picnic day.

I wonder what I should expect on Picnic Day. I already submitted my SIR but still wondering. :)

hahahah irvine and davis are really different…
Davis is pretty small and surrounded by farms…and cows…
Irvine is more urban
but you should probably visit both before you make a decision!!!

wait, waitlisters are allowed to visit?

hahahah yeahhh!
the picnic on saturday is open to everyone lol xD
and well…you can visit whenever you want really…they won’t stop you? lol xD

Hey Brokenarrows,

I’m going to Davis for civil eng. too. I got accepted to Irvine for Enviro Engineering, but i heard UCD is way better for my major. I think Davis was ranked thirteen and Irvine was 33 (close to UCR). I’d just visit on picnic day.

farms… and cows… arent as bad as it sounds… and… you wont c the farms unless u go there…

My D’s dorm room overlooked the cows. Just about the most charming thing a kid can have in college. Ocassional smell (no biggie…it’s a farm not a sewage plant!) , and you can pet those darling beasts with big brown eyes! No need to miss you pet at home! Try to find another UC with this perk!

UCI is only 20 mins drive from home, but my mom want me away from my overloaded friends, which school is academic stronger?

I accepted the waitlist offer!
Civil engineering major. =]
I got into UCI for civil engineering but I would much rather prefer to attend Davis because it’s a lot closer to home.

I found this online today:
UC Davis had the longest wait list by far, with 5,065 students. Admissions officials there said they followed a ratio used by other public and private schools around the country and could not explain why other UC lists were so much smaller.
[UC a tougher bet this year for Californians, with 10,700 wait-listed - Page 2 - Los Angeles Times](http://articles.latimes.com/2010/apr/15/local/la-me-ucadmit15-2010apr15/2)

:[[[ I really hope we all get in!

Yep, UC Davis has a particularly long waitlist since they dropped from something like 68+% acceptance rate to 44-45% in 3 years or so, it’s hard for them to determine the yield like that so they have to have huge waitlists.

Where did everyone who was waitlisted decide to go instead?

Does anyone know when waitlist decisions will bo posted for UCD?

Hi Will740,

After your visit to UCD how do you feel this university? thanks

Anybody know when the waitlist decisions will be released?

Just received an email saying they will begin assessing the number of seats available and will release decisions as the month goes on.

D status changed today from waitlisted to accepted.

dietz199, what major did you get into davis for?
