Waitlisted.again.

So this is my third waitlist i've gotten, after hopkins and vandy. Do you guys know app. how many people get off the cornell waitlist this year? How about the other 2?
So if i dont get off any of these waitlists, i'll end up at my local state school UF. And it's so defeating knowing that i worked so hard just to go to a school where i could've just slacked off my whole life and pulled out like at least a 3.0 uw and like and 11 something SAT like a lot of people i know. But i'm not giving up on this waitlist thing, it's just really really heartbreaking. And I probably would've gotten accepted into a lot of lower schools that are still great, like Wakeforest and probably BC, but i didnt feel the need to waste my Bright Futures scholarship. But maybe i should have to have gotten at least 1 acceptance.
Ok, i'm done venting.

Don’t sweat it, really. This process has been so unpredictable. I got into JHU but not Cornell (not even waitlisted @ CU).

Best of luck!

I’ve got four waitlists lol.

Waitlisted too. I feel like a loser, haha.

It’s okay. You’re not alone.

they are better than rejects…

I’ve got four rejections too. lol

Think again.

I’ve got…6…beat you.

I’m waitlisted at cornell and washu but accepted at northwestern and johns hopkins. Sometimes I wish they’d just straightout reject me

Well out of 13 colleges, I got 5 accepts, 4 waitlists, 4 rejections.

You might have applied to more lol. And your 6 rejections might be from the hardest 6 six schools in the nation.

brand new: get a grip; you would not have been admitted to UF with a 3.0UW…

Admitted: 3 state schools (UT, GA Tech, UIUC)
Rejected: Stanford
Waitlisted: CMU, Cornell, Rice.

Yeahhh.

Sucks.

transfer in cornell isn’t hard. dont give up if u go to your state school…

lol 7 acceptances and 8 rejections. ■■■

Does anybody know when we’ll hear back from Cornell?

Two years ago, my daughter was waitlisted at Cornell and Duke, got off both of them. Another distantly related girl that was born on the same day as my daughter was waitlisted at Cornell, Duke and Northwestern, she also got off on all three of them. She was named “the waitlisted kid - that got off.” Both of them did work to get off. I think this is going to be a year where a lot more kids will get off the list - many middle class kids will not be able to afford to pay full fare.
