Waitlisted at Chapman University

I was waitlisted at Chapman yesterday and was told to send back a letter stating I would like to stay on the waitlist, and although not said directly but to pitch myself to the college. Apparently last year all who decided to write back this letter were acecpted. I’m just curious if anybody else has been waitlisted here or has experiences with this? I’ve also got hte principal of my school writing a reccomendation to the admissions office too.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

I interviewed with an admissions officer at Chapman a week and a half ago. He told me he still had 300 applications on his desk and only 14 spots- He told me everyone else that was well qualified would be waitlisted. Just call/write them to tell them that if accepted you will attend there or something like that. I'm applying next year but good luck!</p>
