I applied to both the faculty or Arts and the faculty of Science. What I intend to study is economics through the faculty of Arts. For a while, both of my application statuses said, "reviewed-decision pending," until today when I learned that I was waitlisted from Science. From reading other people's posts it seems clear that Science is significantly harder to get into than arts. So here's my question, considering I got waitlisted from the harder faculty that I applied to (science), do I have a good chance of getting into Arts which is easier to get into?

The important thing to remember about being waitlisted (at any school) is that it means you are generally qualified and would be accepted, but there isn’t enough room to accept everyone who is qualified. So, I would say that you do have a good shot of getting into the arts faculty, but you may be waitlisted there as well. I would think that the arts school gets more applicants than the science school, even though the standards for admissions are easier.
