waitlisted at washu...what ELSE can i do?

So far I have sent emails, talk to the admissions officer, sent a letter and an additional essay. I recently placed 3rd in states for tennis, how should i notify them about this? Is there anything else I can do?

Hmm...wait til Trackie sees this. If there's someone who can help you, it's Trackie.

About the award, I don't think it would hurt to send them another email about it. In fact, I think that one of the keys to my admittance off of the Duke waitlist was a frequent correspondence with my admissions officer.

i just went to the college admissions forum, saw "waitlisted at washu" and was here in less than a second. check out my "how to get off the waitlist" thread. it's a long story... too much to tell here.

call, email, ask to talk to YOUR admissions counselor, send pictures, send newspaper articles, send anything and everything. put yourself out there. CALL.

Haha...well that didn't take long.

did you get in off the waitlist trackie? what exactly did you talk to your admission officer with multiple times? I explained to him why i wanted to go to WashU and what I could give back to WashU.

while on the phone, i told the admission office that i perform magic tricks. we had a nice conversation after that. should i send in a video performing?? or would that be over-board?

i didn't get off the waitlist, but only five or so people did. washu hasn't been very open about the waitlist.

the video might be interesting. i'd send it. but then again, i would send everything.

just called them..said that they will be taking some in the few weeks...all in all...we will find out at the end of june....
