Waitlisted? Don't bother.

<p>I think the OP is being irresponsible and misleading. </p>

<p>I do not believe that the admissions office told you (in so many words or otherwise) that they would not go to the waitlist. </p>

<p>They may have advised you to make other plans, because that's precisely what the waitlist MEANS. It means you're not going to be offered a space unless things change. That's what it means on every campus. By all means, deposit elsewhere; make other plans. But it does NOT mean that Michigan has determined it will not go to the waitlist.</p>

<p>I don't have a problem with their waitlisting process but I'm ****ed that they lost my application for a month so that probably lowered my chances.</p>

Don't jump to conclusion. That's the same message they sent out on 2006-07. That year Michigan took 525 off the waitlist.</p>

<p>I still haven't heard. Was April 15 just hearsay?</p>
