Waitlisted for Rutgers NB Nursing

So I found out recently that I’ve been wait listed for the nursing program at NB and I was what the stats were for anyone who got accepted and my chances of being accepted off the wait list.

I have a 3.7 unweighted and a 4.11 weighted gpa and a 2120 SAT score (1400 Cr+M).
I have taken a decent number of honors/AP’s and most of my extracurriculars center around volunteering and I have over a 100 hours to show for it.

Is there any chance I could be deferred to nursing at the Newark campus?

And, should I send admissions an email talking about why I like nursing and why I want to enroll in their nursing program?

This is pretty weird, your stats are great for their nursing school NB, im really surprised you got waitlisted. I think you should call and ask to see why seeing that your stats are good

Yeah I don’t know, I filled out an action form though so hopefully they’ll get back to me soon about why.
I guess it’s just really competitive this year!

Update: I was accepted off of the wait list :slight_smile:

Who did you contact?

I called undergrad admissions first and the lady I talked to filled out the form for me and then about 20 minutes later, I got a call from one of the admissions counselors I think
