Waitlisted students...what are you doing?

The only thing I have in mind is sending a letter along with my transcript. Besides sending your spring grades, is there anything you guys are sending/doing?

no thats all im doing.

Sent an additional recommendation.

Sent a letter of interest.

Sending Transcripts when they become available (5 more A's)

XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

^^and that last line is a description of the secret weapons that I can't let my competition know about. :D

I see how it is >: :P its unranked so are we competition? I don't get it. I'm calling tomorrow for more details. I guess I can go for another rec...

I was kidding, but yeah... I guess we are competition. The unranked list means that we can move around in our standing. If it was ranked, you would already be put in a slot and the final decision would be made according to your rank. Since it's not ranked, we can fight, claw, and throw dust in each other's eyes to fight our way to the top. :-) jk!

john m, u seem like u really want u chicago, good luck w. that

they extended deposit deadline to the 15th even for EA ppl......which is a big help for me

bball: What are you waiting for? Penn? Credit Eval? FinAid?

yeah...i am waiting for penn/duke/columbia

damn still no word from Penn? thats harsh

but, bball, you said you are ready to pick NU over Chicago. So how could penn/duke/columbia reposition Chicago above NU in your preference list?

Has anyone called to ask the size of the waitlist?

Finally got my other grades... 2 A's, 3 A-'s (3.813). My first semester was a 3.5 so I'm happy. I don't know why but I don't believe that grades matter so much even though they probably do.

They should make a documentary of the whole application/admission process. That thing would SELL like crazy.

It would, but any interesting strategies would become obselete within a year. The simple fact is that if everyone knows about, then it will stop working because nobody will have any real advantage. It's like market efficiency.
