mandi, may i ask if you had sent additional information to MHC?
thank u :)

I didn’t send any additional information to them, actually, which really surprised me…and yes, I do believe that I will be going for sure now! The financial aid offer is too hard to pass up =D No, the waitlist isn’t ranked, and I can’t imagine where I would have fallen to have been admitted…given the fact that they didn’t take anyone off last year.

That is great. T-T Congrat!
I haven’t heard anything from MHC yet.
Mendi! are you a freshmen??

I just got an e-mail from BC that I’m on their waitlist…
It is kinda sad. T-T I’m on the waitlist of MHC and BC either!
I feel really sad. T-T…

Did anyone get anything today?

no nothing yet T-T …

same here…

On Monday, at around 4:00pm, I received this email:

"Dear Chelsea:

We are thrilled to be able (finally!) to offer you admission to Mount Holyoke, and we are so grateful for your patience. It’s a tricky thing, piecing together the puzzle of our incoming class, and we are so glad to know exactly how you’ll fit in. We’re running letters and processing financial aid applications, and will overnight the formal offers within the next few days.

In the meantime, we hope that your interest is still strong (ours is). Check out our admitted student site where you can learn about our new Nexus program, watch a few videos, and reply to our offer.

And thank you for waiting with us. We’re confident it will be worth it."

And when I logged into ISIS, my wait list letter changed to an accepted letter! I’m definitely going if the financial aid is good.

And in case anyone is interested, I did send in additional information, via email. I wrote them a letter why I was interested in Mt. Holyoke and that I really wanted to attend. My friend also (supposedly) had his sister who goes to Mt. Holyoke write me a recommendation letter. I also called the wait list officer this past Friday and explained my strong interest in going to Mount Holyoke. And then on Monday, I received my decision! Mount Holyoke is my dream school!!! I really hope I can afford to go!

GOOD LUCK TO EVERYONE ELSE!! :)

ladybug413, could u please tell me who is the officer of waitlist??
thank you :)

Congratulations ladybug413! (:

I think both mandi225 and ladybug413 got their decisions on Monday. (May 10, 2010)
I didn’t get anything Monday or Tuesday. (May 10-11, 2010)

I am going to cry now. :[

Where did you girls put down your deposits?

xperfectionistx, i know how you feel…i’m thinking if nothing happens today…i’m afraid to say it out loud.

Congrats for both of you!!!
But I really wanna know that if you guys are transfer student of freshman!
I hope you guys are freshman. T-T
I’m desperate. T0T lol

Luzeee: I’m an accepted first-year, but of course I can’t speak for Labybug413 =)

In ladybug413’s letter: “We’re running letters and processing financial aid applications, and will overnight the formal offers within the next few days.”

They’re still “running letters and processing financial aid applications”?

Hoping, hoping, hoping.

@xperfectionistx , I am rooting for you! I know how you must feel, hang in there. I had to ask for an extension for my MAY 1st deposit, and the new deadline has passed, which means that those who did not reply probably helped to get MHC’s yield number -that’s why they’re on to the waitlist since Monday… ofcourse the number will change over the course of the summer and such, so there is still hope!

Congrats Mandi, MHC’s been REALLY generous to me too

GOOD LUCK ALL OF YOU, IT’S NO HARM BUGGING THEM since the list is not ranked, so show as much lurrrve as you can

hey guys!
somebody told me an AO replied her about when is ending of waitlist process.
it’s May 21th and the AO said it’s even an extension.

I’m still hoping up but not very confident now
but at least, we know we don’t need to worry every day after 7 days now.

Good Luck to everyone!

do we get notified if we’re not chosen from the list?

Okay so this is very very unofficial but a friend just told me that she heard from a friend whose friend [see what I mean by unofficial? ;)] got off the waitlist. She’s an international, btw.

jezda3, I remember poking around last year’s waitlist thread and I think they got e-mails in late May informing them that the waitlist was no longer active.

I still have my fingers crossed for all you girls!!

I just got off the MHC waitlist yesterday! so excited!
GOOD LUCK TO EVERYONE ELSE!!!

Did everyone who got accepted off the waitlist send additional information to waitlist@mtholyoke.edu?

If the students accepted off the waitlist decline, won’t Mount Holyoke have a summer waitlist? Why would they close it on May 21, 2010 if they do not have enough students?

I finally got off from the waitlist!!! OMG I can’t believe it!!! T_T!!!
They just sent me an email!!!
Like I wrote before, I’m a transfer applicant!
I’m really happy about it! I hope all of you guys can get great news soon!
