waitlisted; will Williams require a final report before it re-considers me?

<p>So I am waitlisted and intend to remain on the active waitlist.</p>

<p>one question though, when Williams re-consider applicants from the waitlist, will it require us to send it our final report? or will it require a final report after you are admitted?</p>

I think it might be because I’m international!
and from what I believe, you do not need to send them your final report until and unless you’re admitted.</p>

<p>Hey, wait list too. International asking for a lot of aid. May wanna send them updates? Think I will do that for Williams and amherst.</p>

<p>You’d be stupid not to send updated(and expanded info). There are hundreds of wait-listed kids, you need to distinguish yourself from the pack. It’s not going to come on a silver platter…</p>

<p>my 2nd semester grades suck too… I admit I slacked off a bit.</p>

<p>Time to think about yourself; what strength would you bring to the school. You need to distinguish yourself. You may want to meet with your guidance counselor to discuss your strengths then write an update (just one really good one) selling yourself. How have you grown/improved since your application was submitted? Your guidance counselor may get a call, or may call on your behalf and you’d need to have a plan. A few kids clear the waitlist each year and they do it by showing their strengths and continued growth. Oldbatsiedoc is right…it’s not going to just come on that silver platter. You’re going to have to work for it.</p>

<p>My official decision just came so I’m a little afraid that the postcard confirming my decision to be put on the waitlist might be considered “late”. Did you guys send an email as well and if so, to who?</p>

<p>Yes I did!! I’m international and my letter will arrive in 2 months o so, anyway I called the office and they said that I can send an email to <a href=“mailto:admissions@williams.edu”>admissions@williams.edu</a> telling them that I want to remain in the active wait list!! good luck!</p>
