I was recently waitlisted by IUB and i just found out a few days back that i was accepted at Purdue. I really want to go to IUB so is there any way that i can show more interest and let the office know that if they do admit me, i will be going to IUB for sure ? Because im paying the safety deposit at Purdue right now as IUB will let me know by June if i have been accepted or rejected. I will actually go if they accept me. So could someone please tell me what to do.

I just sent my declination to attend IUB so there is a spot for you to grab and keep. Good Luck.

Have you called the admissions office? If not, you should call them and let them know that you have been accepted by Purdue but really want to attend Bloomington. You should also ask them if you can provide additional information to boost your chance. You obviously meet the admissions standards. You are waitlisted because Bloomington ran out of space. Good Luck.

Haha thanks Multitasker but they havent given me the spot yet. Yeah GWEM27 i called them up and told them that i got accepted at Purdue but they said i have to wait till june to hear from them. I got the email address of the counselor who is handling my file, should i mail her and tell her that ill be going if they accept me or what do you think ?

Zainzahid,

Is this as Freshman or Transfer?

If you are Transfer, what are your stats?

Im a freshman applicant

When do you have to confirm Purdue?

I would e-mail the counselor and state your case.. it won't hurt..

Well i did think of doing that but don't you think if i tell her that i got accepted at purdue and i need to find out soon she'd feel that i am trying to pressure her into giving me admission and annoy her ? I really want to send in an email or something so that i can show interest, just don't know what to say, has someone done something like this before ?

Can you confirm at Purdue after you hear back from them (June) ?

If you can, then you should just wait.. I'm sure it's stressful, but I haven't heard from any schools yet... (transfer)

If you can't confirm at Purdue that late... I would call with the counselor and state the case...
