I made a thread a couple months back asking if anyone has any inside info on how big the waitlist is. Someone posted that there was a 1/3 chance for waitlisted students. Does this still hold true? Does anyone know if anything has changed? Looking for an update.

I recently sent the letter stating I will go elsewhere, so I imagine that many other appliccants did the same or chose IU, I think your chances are pretty good. Good luck

Everybody is supposed to respond with their acceptance by May 1st, so I imagine IU-B will probably start taking people off the waitlist starting no later than May 10th or so.

Good luck to you.

P.S. I find that people that contact schools where they are waitlisted real late in the process (like right about now) and let the school know that they are still interested in attending usually have a much better chance of acceptance than those who do not contact the school. I say this because I've worked with other people on here who got in off of waitlists;--one who got into the University of Michigan and one who got into Washington University at St. Louis.
