Waitlisters

Support thread for those who are asked to continue to wait!!

I'm a CALS applicant waitlisted (12:26er for those keeping track). The lack of a concrete decision is a bummer... =/

ahh waitlisted here as well, for CALS biology....When do we usually get further notification on our situation?

Waitlisted and I applied for Engineering. Damn I have so many waitlists its not even funny...

ponnan i have no clue, i'm trying to google it now haha...

It should be around May 15 we get our decisions. That's how it is for every college.

2 years ago, I got in off the wait list. I later found out that i was one of 17 out of 1,700. I beat 1% odds, so don't lose hope.

I got waitlisted for Cornell CAS. What should we do?

I got waitlisted for CALS environmental science. submitted time 2:01pm. Are we just supposed to wait? Can we submit new info/letters of recommendation? Can we still go to Cornell Days?

waitlisted also. (12:26 for anyone who cares) add that to a upenn waitlist, a wellesley waitlist, and a washu waitlist! i'm partly sad but mostly angry.

Somebody with experience please explain this. It's so nerve-racking to have to wait even longer!

SERIOUSLY! another waitlist here.. has anyone been waitlisted then accepted?!

Waitlisted, going to do my best to get accepted somehow though. Does any one know if they'll offer the GT option to waitlisters for next year?

waitlisted... 12:24er
I guess the time didn't matter in the end.

..but it's okay, I'm taking myself off the waitlist since UPenn accepted me

What does GT mean?

Guaranteed transfer, basically meaning that I can go to Northwestern for a year, maintain 3.0 or higher and then go to Cornell without an issue.

What about just getting in for now? Do a lot of people get in? Don't we have to submit an SIR to another school? Can someone please explain this 'cus I'm so confused.

WAAAAAAAAAIT. most universities, like UCLA, Berkeley, and UCSD have housing deadlines within the next month:
"In order to receive a Housing Offer for the 2008-2009 Academic Year, first-year students must submit a Housing Application and a $30.00 non-refundable application fee by 5:00 p.m., Thursday, MAY 1, 2008."

when is cornell officiald decisions for waitlisters coming?!

i was first deferred from ED and now waitlisted from RD. give me a break cornell and tell me straight out that you don't want me.

I'd say they'd be released randomly over the next 1 - 1 1/2 months.

That's exactly what I want to know calitennisgirl. I emailed a cornell admissions officer and will post the reply on here. I'm super confused and I don't understand how we're supposed to secure a spot at another school (and pay tons of money for it) and still wait for cornell. Is there any chance that we receive a decision before may 1st?
