Wake for out-of-state men's soccer

We are from Texas; son is interested in WF for men's soccer. Just now starting the research. Tell me about OOS admissions, etc. Anything that might help enlighten us. He is class of 2011, NHS, class rank is 74 out of 577, GPA is 4.6 weighted, played both varsity football and soccer in 2009-10, but has "retired" from football to focus on soccer next year. Any Demon Deacon soccer guys out there? Thanks.

Wake has one of the most elite soccer programs in the country, having gone to the College Cup (final 4 teams in NCAA D1 tourney) for 4 consecutive years.

Does he play for a club team at a high level (like Academy or ODP)? That is the best way to get noticed by Wake or any other school, as these teams play in showcase events where college coaches are present.

Yeah, I know about the quality of the soccer program – I guess I was really asking more about what the academics are to get into Wake. This would be a dream/reach school for him, I’m pretty sure. But if he can’t get in academics-wise, it’s time to look for a different dream/reach school.
